Daughter. Dog. Dirt.

There are bigger trips.

Harder trails.

Better photographs.

But I'm not sure there are better days.

Years from now, I probably won't remember the route.

I doubt I'll remember how many miles we drove.

I'll remember who was beside me.

Maybe that's what all these roads are really for.
